Our Ruger Marlin 1895 45-70 Muzzle Brake is designed for your Ruger Marlin 1895 SBL, Trapper, Guide gun, Dark series lever action rifles in 45-70. It greatly reduces recoil while keeping a sleek low profile.
Proprietary true 2 baffle design. 90 degree radial ports intersect to create expansion chambers and forms true baffles for maximum recoil reduction with no concussion. Really stops the “Thump”. Not your average 45-70 radial muzzle brake.

Installation Instructions
- Ensure the firearm is completely unloaded prior to installation.
- Ensure the muzzle brake bore matches or exceeds your caliber of use.
- Remove factory thread protector/muzzle device.
- Remove factory O-Ring on muzzle threads if present.
- Install muzzle brake and hand tighten with tensioning key. Use the key on ports closer to the crown of the muzzle brake.
- Remove tensioning key from muzzle brake after tightening.

What an amazing difference in recoil. It definitely tamed the beast. Accuracy was not effected if anything it made it more so because the recoil has been reduced. This is a no brainer device to add to your gun!

Very satisfied, put it on my 16” Marin trapper and felt very comfortable shooting off hand on a 6×6 plate at 50yards. HSM 430gr+p, Grizzly 300gr+p, Barnes 300gr tsx, and BlackButterfly 576gr ACME all felt almost like cowboy action loads. The 405gr cowboy action factory load from HSM made a huge smoke cloud. Concussion from standing about 5 yards away with the hot stuff was pretty uncomfortable but that’s to be expected from any brake

I put this on my new Marlin/Ruger 45-70 Trapper with a 16” barrel. It definitely helped the recoil, I was able to shoot 8 rounds with no shoulder pain. Before I put on the brake, I could feel the effects after just a couple of shots. However my neighbors reported that it also increased the boom. I wear ear muffs so I didn’t notice any increase in sound. The fit and finish of the brake was great and shipping to the US was fast (about 5 day). I would definitely recommend this product.
